The Challenge

The University of Law is an independent university and one of the UK's longest-established specialist providers of legal education. We were challenged to reinvent their digital presence by creating a mobile-friendly experience that reinvents how prospective users would see the University of Law. This included creating future-proofed templates to diversify their portfolio of courses beyond law, moving away from a product-focused structure and highlighting study levels instead.

The Process

To ensure we truly understood the target audience of the university, we needed to understand the people associated with the university. To do this, we visited multiple campuses, met with members of staff, and ran interviews with existing students. These immersive experiences allowed us to refresh the brand personas, begin to build user journeys and prototype with wireframes ensuring that the target users are able to achieve their desired tasks with ease.

The Outcome
The University of Law and more

The new digital experience is designed to be far more engaging, while modernising the dusty image of ‘Law.’ We integrated video content across multiple touch-points and split the content into digestible chunks to bring the study experience to life, which helped prolong site sessions. Additionally, we sought to enhance the university’s employability offerings with dedicated career finder modules and pages to help students identify their study roadmap.

Law On-Demand

The university also approached us in 2023 to create a custom On Demand platform, powered by Vimeo. Echoing the initial response to brief, we sought to create an engaging platform with bold and exciting content, giving each subject and series a unique look and feel.
